Boy Genius November 22, 2006
As I glean through the things of old,
I'm oft reminded of what makes me big and bold.
I write poetry six years and running
Of my maturation to a man of cunning.
I flip through a book I wrote at six
About Thomas Jefferson, a man and his wits.
A boy of six? How was I to know
Of a man and his genius
From whom our nation would grow?
Perhaps it is my genius which recognizes thine,
A boy genius waking to a world sublime.
