I Am the Fish (You are the Sea) March 8, 2013
I had been searching for years for my catch
For such a long time, and I did the hard time,
As I crossed swing bridges singing an old tune,
For such a long time, and I did the hard time,
As I crossed swing bridges singing an old tune,
Looking beneath rocks, swimming within grottoes
And climbing to a nightly daylight out of deep holes.
But as I was snorkling to that point within the pool,
I had been burning in the coals, appearing the fool,
But my fair Aegea, you appeared to see me through
To make right what once upon a time was wrong....
And so I am the fish and you are the sea,
And I'm just as giddy as a little bumblebee
As the wild blue yonder fades into the ocean:
O! How our sweet indulgences must be a sin!
And so I am the fish and you are the sea,
Embracing so tightly when we are sipping tea.
When the wind has its way with the oaken trees,
We remain firm while the world is on its knees.
Don't you ever fret, my sweet love, my little dear,
For I will always be by your side within my seat.
Together, we shall maintain love's sweet embrace
Amid the chaotic storms clad of Hell's black lace.
Hand in hand, our mutual company is our bread,
Steadfast, our love ignites with hot flames of red.
Our gold, not of any earthly pecuniary measures,
Are gifts from God, as they are His Holy Treasures.
And so I am the fish and you are the sea,
And I am just so very giddy as a little bumblebee
As the wild blue yonder fades into the ocean:
O! How our sweet indulgences must be a sin!
And so I am the fish and you are the sea,
Embracing so tight when we've had our tea.
When the wind has its way with the oak trees,
We remain firm while the world is on its knees.
Well, we will laugh till we cry and then multiply,
And then sail onto morning until the day we die.
It's funny how our lives were borne of as friends,
And now we are amid a holy tryst as His godsends.
There are so many years and memories to recreate
There are so many years and memories to recreate
For within His Universe we will never commiserate
As we board our rocket ship bound for distant stars,
Our love always a song of notes harmonious in bars.
And so I am the fish and you are the sea,
And I'm just as giddy as a little bumblebee
As the wild blue yonder fades into the ocean:
O! How our sweet indulgence must be a sin!
And so I am the fish and you are the sea,
Embracing so tight when we've had our tea.
When the wind has its way with the oak trees,
We remain firm while the world is on its knees.
