Like a feather from a bird,

You floated into my life.

I questioned if you were an angel.

The times? Well, the times, they were grand,

And the first kiss seemed to last all day.

 

Stephanie, you are all I want and more,

Because His Child, Jesus, said it be so.

It could rain all day,

But my passion would just shine upon you -

Like the sands of an hourglass,

The time came and passed,

Leaving me far behind.

But I'll keep on searching,

Traversing and sailing

Until the time when upon

We are one again, at long last.

 

If I must, Stephanie,

I'll build some wax wings,

And set out straight toward the sun.

'Tis better to have hope

Than to live another moment without you.
