Memories October 3, 2009
Memories, oh those sweet memories!
They make you want to be there
When everything comes out.
They make you want to sit there
And absorb life away.
Those memories, they do astound,
They engender thoughts that do compound.
Sweet memories, I thoroughly enjoy you.
Like the time when she kissed you in the sand,
Like the time when making love wasn't in the can.
Like the times when they couldn't ply you two apart.
Sweet memories, beneath God's stars!
Like the time when you never quit,
When you sang so out of tune, most got sick,
When you got down on your knees and proclaimed true,
The sweet memories remembered her crying for you!
Love is a strange thing we mustn't dismiss.
It's worth remembering, to leave out, I would be remiss.
Love is a spectre that not often shows itself,
It's a meaningful thing that builds spiritual wealth.
Remember that time we got married,
There's only one of those moments when we were so harried,
It's a flash moment, taken like a picture,
One of those memories true!
