At the End of the Day

At the End of the Day       Written in 2011; Edited on July 26, 2012

At the end of the day,
All we'll have is our love.
We'll have tossed
All creature comforts aside
For just one last trip
Up that Smoky Mountain high.
If we should perish after that,
Then we should commence forth
With our collective executions -
Our spirits forever mingling
In the void of time and space
Between Heaven and Earth.
All fear aside, though,
Let the power of Nature
Rip through our bosoms
In one fell swoop.
We're just two souls
Soon to be joined
In God's harmonious symphony.

At the end of the day,
They say the sun
Will be shining bright,
Though I feel as if
I'll be howling in heat
At a full moon tonight.
You will be here,
And the party too.
What sweet memories
That will manifest!
Chaos amidst the midnight breeze,
And a night where we propagate
And begin the next generation
At the cue of a sweet ear's whisper.
O', sweet delights!
And I howl at the moonlit night,
Arms around you good and tight.
We have only ourselves to blame
If we fail to capitalize on the moment.

At the end of the day,
O' at the end of the day,
The moon will be shining bright.
I've got to stand tall -
Stand tall and deliver the goods.
I've got to show her
Why I'm the man of her dreams,
Why she's the woman
Whose body, heart, and soul I crave -
That I've got the goods,
The goods to deliver Heavenly bliss,
The goods to bring about
The type of passion
That is, to say, carnal;
That is to commence forth
At the end of the day,
For that is when creatures
Like us roam wild.
