Nobody loves you when you're down and out.

Nobody loves you when you're out of luck.

Seems like yesterday when you were on Cloud Nine,

When all was bubbly on a Himalayan high.

It seems so lonely to be out on the street -

No one to scratch your back or really even care.

You thought you had finished all there ever was,

But now you're just a pauper in a sea of rich pigs.

Nobody loves you when you're down and out.

Nobody cares what you think,

And so they stake you in the heart.

The world's full of vampires,

And you're the only live one.

They'll drink your blood

And leave you dry.

Don't you know that it's half past 2 AM?

Coming up with stories you know might be true,

But then again, might be not?

Nobody loves you when you're down and out.
