A Fool in Love February 28, 2006
Oh honey, you're so beautiful
That you've got me all sappy,
But that's okay, for you're so wonderful,
And you've made me happy.
I'll stoop to new lows
Just to sing of your praises.
I'm dancing on my tip toes
All because of your good graces.
I never thought I'd ever know
What it'd be, to be a fool in love.
For decades, I plodded through
A desert of snow,
Just looking for relief from above.
It was freezing, subzero Siberian temperatures,
And I was on my very last leg,
But luckily God was there with all the cures.
I no longer need to beg.
Now you're here, my lover, my friend,
And I'll never need again to cry,
For I've found true love in you, a Godsend.
May we remain together until we die.
As I mentioned before,
I've made a fool of myself,
For I'm just a fool in love,
But I can now rest my snow gear on the shelf
And release The Lord's Dove.
