What is

What is                                                            June 26, 2006

What is misery?
A time where there simply is no hope.
A place where the rock simply won't fall over,
And rolls back down instead.
It is shrouded in mystery,
A love once sweet, but turned to frigid ice,
Or a loss leading to despair.
The emptiness that lingers inside
For wanted promises never kept.
She is whatever you want it to be
If only you can see.

What is suicide?
Just an end of one wild blue yonder
Leading to the next one down.
It emits to us a sensation
That skewers the hide,
Brands one for the millenia to come.
O' darling, how I do pray
That you will reconsider the rock bottom blues.

What is rejuvenation?
It is a reptilian trait in us all.
We all experience broken minds and tattered bodies
And yet can grow back anew.
Like a phoenix, God sets us a-blaze
And renders us to redundant ashes,
Testing us of our will and resolve
To see if we can resurrect ourselves.

What is love?
Simply put, it's the greatest power of all.
When the knights of darkness
Have inundated our plain,
It is that which sets us free.
Evil may rule the internal house
For a countless limited time,
But love will ultimately unsheathe its blade
And slay the demonic dragon,
Allowing its light and force to carry forward.
