It's That Time of Year March 16, 2006
It's that time of year
When the dead reawakens.
I just have to shed a tear,
And laugh as the world giggles and grins.
The world is tilting on a brand new day,
So brand new, I'm not even kidding.
It's that time of year
To dance, for we are free.
The birds are singing a tune,
Though we can't comprehend, we know too well.
The bears are emerging from the caves
God built to house their slumbering souls.
Young boys and girls join one another,
Coming of age for the beginning of The Dance,
And yes, it's that time of year again
To dance, for we are free.
Winter's chilly grasp on our souls
Seemed to be choking us of all vibrancy.
Jack Frost painted a dull picture
To counter Monet's Water Lilies.
Those of us lucky enough to survive
After the annual Ice Age blitz
Know enough to realize when
It's that time of year again,
That it's time to celebrate,
That's time to dance our cares away,
That life is free to spring forward.
