The Million Dollar Grin March 17, 2006
I've been looking so hard
You'd think I was an archaeologist,
For I was rediscovering myself
And my past, for that matter.
Well, my past is a murky thing,
And I choose to make amends.
I never really had a lover,
But I think that's the first thing I'll do.
I think I shall set sail
Across the stars, land and sea
And reach out and grab one if I can
Through nature's bristly breeze.
You look spectacular,
Like a little taste of paradise.
New Years is January 1st,
But I think we can justify this being right.
I think you're beautiful,
The most beautiful pick of the litter.
I know of a reason now
Why I picked you to keep me company.
You have that one of kind thing
Simply called the million dollar grin
That has made it worth the sojourn.
They say there's someone for everyone,
And now I have no doubt that that is so.
You have the million dollar grin,
And sparkling eyes let it show your honesty.
Your million dollar grin tells a glorious story
Of where every man seeks to be at day's end.
Your million dollar grin was the shining beacon of light
I used to find the right port in which to dock.
I know I must sound ridiculous,
But this much I know is true.
Had I not you to carry within my soul,
I'd not be the happy man I am today.
There are many stone cold stunners
Lurking all over the earth's hallowed grounds
For each of us to go through and glean
To experience, to learn if they please,
But there's only one lady
With the million dollar grin.
I found the one which suited me,
And thus indeed, I did win,
And will revel in it for the rest of my days
As I flex my own grin.
