Pie in the sky, so simple and comprehensible,

I thought to survive, it would take more wits.

Luckily, I found the way to vent.

Punish those fools who aim to destroy,

And crush all villains with devilish thoughts and desires.

Is it worth it all? Is it really all it's cracked up to be?

Is revenge really sweet as all that?

Did you ever get tired of the schoolyard bully?

Did you ever think life would be great with no wedgy?

Did you ever decide to get out the ammo, wage a war with him?

Did you know if he could, he would simply pummel you?

And pain is the word of the game that the bully played,

And the only language he knows. Make him pay.

Is it worth it all? Is it really all it's cracked up to be?

Is revenge really sweet as all that?

I spent years and years compensating in the only way I knew how.

I became an academian, a musician, but not a keen politician,

And I bounced and trounced away at my competitive goals

'Cause all I saw was the big, bad bully, and he had to pay.

Where did that land me? Did it send me anywhere's -ville?

I thought that it might at one time.

But all it brought me was just simply more pain,

And sent me to the Heartbreak Hotel.

Is it worth it all? Is it really all it's cracked up to be?
