A Girl Called Love

A Girl Called Love                                  August 27, 2009

Have you ever seen a beauty such as her?
Have you ever looked before?
Have you ever ventured to see what's out there?
Have you ever been off the floor?

And have you ever been this crazy
About a beauty such as her?
And what about the life she has touched?
Have you even construed that it's yours?

And have you ever been in love
With something other than an object?
And have you seen the light of day?
Seems to me you haven't before.

Have you ever seen brains with beauty
Circling before your eyes?
Have you ever thought she'd hold her own
When talking wind of the philosophies?

And have you ever been this crazy
And it not have been a fever?
And do you know it's a thing called love,
Not some virus, not even the flu?

Yes, and how do the birds sound to you?
Do they seem more harmonious than usual?
And does the hot water in your shower emit
More passion than cleansing feel?

The answer may involve a girl called "love,"
A passionate kiss that ignites a flame.
You can run away, but you'll never hide,
You can talk it down, but not confide,
You can douse the flames, and they'll just rise,
Because she owns you now.
