We spend our lives sinning,
Unceremoniously, repetitively
Without remorse or giving quarter
To the thoughts of those
We forsake around us.
Clergymen and women go on and on
About how we are blinded by Satan,
How our lives are misguided
By Ol' Scratch himself.
There is the Heavenly Choir
We sing in on Sundays,
And then there is the Serpent's ensemble
Every other day of the week.
You have got to give The Devil his due.
He knows how to bring out 90% of us
Each and every day.
