God is Smiling 29 June 2004
The sun is shining down on me
And you, indeed, as well.
It's really rained oh so long,
And now God is smiling on you and me.
I know you and I grew weak and weary
Of the seemingly infinite rains.
I feared crying, for it may have added pains.
The angels, they were pissing on high,
But the sun came out and shined so bright,
And now God is smiling on you and me,
So everything is going to be alright.
God's smiling on you and me,
And now there is no rain,
And that, my friends, is fine by me.
I want my God by my side,
Preferably with a smile.
I want my God by my side
Because he's so great.
I no longer need my boat anymore,
For the ground is so very dry.
The sun came out, and now I know,
God is smiling on you and me.
The sun is shining down on me
And you, indeed, as well.
It's really rained oh so long,
And now God is smiling on you and me.
I know you and I grew weak and weary
Of the seemingly infinite rains.
I feared crying, for it may have added pains.
The angels, they were pissing on high,
But the sun came out and shined so bright,
And now God is smiling on you and me,
So everything is going to be alright.
God's smiling on you and me,
And now there is no rain,
And that, my friends, is fine by me.
I want my God by my side,
Preferably with a smile.
I want my God by my side
Because he's so great.
I no longer need my boat anymore,
For the ground is so very dry.
The sun came out, and now I know,
God is smiling on you and me.
