Annals of History June 29, 2004
I've grown up so fast,
It seems so scary.
Seems I always have amends to make
Just to keep me happy.
It wasn't so long ago
That everything was child's play,
But now, those days are gone,
Gone into the annals of history.
Why can't I just enjoy life
The way a child can?
It pains me to see all the kiddies out playing
The way I never could or can.
I'm stuck in a world of debts,
And I mourn the loss of my soul,
But now those days are gone,
Gone into the annals of history.
Life goes by so quickly,
The sands of time at hand.
I don't know if I'll make it or not.
My life seems to be a blur,
Or so it were, as I said,
The sands of time at hand.
I've spent much time looking
For El Dorado, the fountain of youth,
But my days are slipping by,
With every second inching closer to death.
I long for the time
When I lived as a kid,
But now those days are gone,
Gone into the annals of history.
