Wondering

Wondering                          June 15, 2004

I look around the dining room,
Wondering where my life is venturing.
Men have wives. Kiddies, too.
They work from suitcases, in factories,
And their lives seem to be in perfect harmony.
I'm here in my emptiness,
Wondering where that is which would complete me.

Where is the love?
Where is the action, the suspense?
Darling, I'll cry for you
If you're ever really there
To dry those tears from my eyes,
And I'll savor the splendor
Now and forever more.
But until then, I guess
That I will still be wondering.
